Whatever it was, it flailed at Yuri and Ace, lashing out with tendrils. One managed to snag Yuri around his throat, but in the heat of adrenalin, he was lucky enough to pry the damn thing off.
He broke water to suck in a deep breath, before diving under again, to continue to rip the thing off of Kaye. He wasn't as good underwater as Ace. Not by a longshot. But it could be worse. He could be on a boat.]
[Kaye was pretty much groping at anything she could get at this point, kicking in hopes to hit something vital. She felt Yuri groping at her but couldn't seem to get a good grip back. She finally grabbed onto something and, hoping it was the monster, pushed down hard.]
{Ace endured as the thing lashed around wildly in the water, twisting his blade sharply and tearing it out through the things side. He drew his hand back for another swing when Kaye found a rough grip in his hair. He let out a small startled noise as he was pushed away, a good deal of air being pushed from his lungs in the struggle. He narrowly missed gashing her arm open in all the chaos.
It was then that the monster turned some of it's efforts on him, retaliating from the wound he'd given it. He felt the thing wrap tightly around his wrist and reaching tendrils for his face. His lungs burned and he struggled, trying to twist free and get to the surface, but something was holding him down.}
[Kaye saw the blood and waited, watching. She didn't want to leave them, but she knew she couldn't do anything else.
Roiben's sword. She could help with that.
She made her way back on shore and grabbed it, removing the scabbard and mentally apologizing to the king of the Unseelie court for doing what she was about to do with his weapon.]
{With Kaye out of harms way he gave another hard thrust of his knife into the creature. In turn it recoiled, unlatching itself from where it'd tangled around his torso and limbs. Perfect timing on Yuri's part, had the thing pulled from him so he could kick quickly to the surface.
He broke through and gasped, taking a deep gulp of fresh air. He shook his head clear, spraying droplets and trying to fight through the dizzy sensation from lack of oxygen. It was then that Kaye came back to the fray, sword in hand.}

{With that he dove back under to go assist the man in finishing the beast off.Maybe it was edible?}
[Yuri was fighting for his life now, running low on air and still bruised and healing from his fight with Haru. Still, he wasn't exactly not hurting the thing, tearing into it with the spiked knuckles on his fists.
He broke through the surface once when the beast loosened its grip, regaining air and saw Kaye and Ace coming to his aid. He gasped, trying to drag it to shallower waters with some level of success. Even chipped and recovering from some nasty wounds, Yuri was a force to be reckoned with.]
[Kaye stormed back into the water and did her best to stab at the creature. She wasn't skilled with a sword so she mostly took blind jabs like she was trying to skewer meat. She was careful not to hit Yuri though. That would have been bad.]
